You MIGHT need CC2014; don't know that for a fact.
And you'll have to reinstall them. When you installed CC 2015, there was a check box to delete old versions in the advanced settings. It was automatically checked on.
Real nice of Adobe to hide that little tidbit on you, huh?
After Effects CC 2015 (13.5) imports and opens projects from all After Effects version from 7.0 on.
If this is not working for you, we need a lot more information to help.
Please provide answers to the questions listed here: "FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?"
Todd, Thanx for your reply. I finally got thru on a chat with Adobe and was told that AE 2015 would not open projects started in AE 2014. The chat person sent me a link to download CC2014 installers and said to complete my project in AE2014 and only begin NEW projects in AE2015. This seems contrary to your comments....

I have downloaded AE 2014 (as instructed) and my aep file will not open. Doing the same thing as in AE 2015, project pane highlights but there is nothing there, no error message, no pop up telling me to do something, just nothing but an empty highlighted project panel. If you have a solution, I'd love to have it as I am really stuck right now!!!!
Please tell me who I need to speak to in order to get an actual solution to my issue.
Try importing that project file into a new project.
What size is that project file?
Thank you for the response, much appreciated. The aep file says 8kb.
I created a new project in AE 2014 and imported the previous aep file. I get a folder icon that has no content.
Before upgrading to CC 2015 I was using Mountain Lion and I made a time machine back up before loading Mavericks and CC 2015. Perhaps I need to wipe my system drive and go back to the mnt Lion / CC 2014 set up. Although, not sure if my ape file is corrupted now if that will help. aep file is on a separate (not system) drive. I need a solution as I really hate to have to recreate 2 days of work if I can't get the file to open correctly/

Make a brand new project, save it, and see what size it is.
8kb seems to me to be very tiny. In fact, I'm gonna say that there is nothing in there. I don't have the latest AE at my work, but I just made a test project with nothing but a blank comp and it came out to five times the size of your project.
Yes, new empty project 47kb. I guess I was busy freaking out about my project not working and didn't think about the auto-save vault. Found previous saved version 135MB, and it opens.
Sorry for crying wolf. I DO sincerely appreciate your time and efforts to help me. Thank you SO much.
Good thing Auto-save is enabled by default, eh? Glad you're up and running!
