After Effects CC 2015 has the same face tracking technology that's in Character Animator. See this AE help page: After Effects Help | Face Tracking
The Face Track Points has several 2D point controls that you can use. If you need them as nulls instead, there might be a script (maybe on aescripts.com? not sure) that could convert 2D point controls into null layers.
Use the Face Tracker effect in After Effects for this. It generates effect control points when you use the detailed options.
[EDIT: It looks like Jeff types faster than I do.]
Thank you Jeff and Todd, this will work great for what I'm trying to achieve... is there a way to get more tracking points on the face? I've been working on achieving a point cloud look with video of a face using glow in the dark stickers and black lights:
However, in After effects, the tracking of the points has been sketchy due to luma shifts and motion blur and I have not found a solid solution... if I can get the point cloud I see in Character Animator translated into the AE Face Tracker (Detailed track) it would be amazing and help a lot!
