The Direct Selection tool is one way.
That is what I thought and tried, but for the charater animator template in illustrator it isn't working. ON a Mac in illustrator I cmd/shift select it and can select and move but it does not respond when I go back to character animator.
If you've moved the location of a guide in AI or PS, then save, then switch back to Character Animator, the guide/handle location should've moved. Try waiting a second or two before switching back to Character Animator, just in case the app didn't catch the modification; note that in PS, it can do a background save, so switching quickly to Character Animator might not catch the modification.
Also, if you had the subpuppet layer selected in the Puppet panel before switching to AI or PS (i.o.w., you were viewing the handle locations in the Puppet panel), you might need to deselect and then reselect the subpuppet layer for the panel to refresh the location of handles. This is something we weren't able to fix before Preview 1, but it should be fixed for Preview 2.
If neither of the above cover your scenario, can you share screenshots of the Puppet panel (handle locations) and AI guide locations (before/after), and we can try to reproduce the issue here.
This may be obvious so apologies if I'm stating it.
You also need to make sure that you are saving to the same file? Make sure that you save over/ repave the file that is being referenced in CA.
Thanks, but i got it figured out. It was a simple, the Guides were locked
