I purchased an extension, it downloaded as a ZXP file. Lightroom will not install it. How do I do this, The instructions make it look like it should be a zip file
Got a link to the instructions?
Why not ask the extension vendor why you got a ZXP file instead of a ZIP file?
According to the Adobe site, their Extension Manager tool will do this, the Creative Cloud version ill load it but not install it on the desktop. The CS6 version for desktops won't load it but that is supposed to be the correct version. Some places on the Adobe sight say loading Extensions is built into Lightroom but it won't load the extension itself.
So far I have spend 4 hours on this.
A .zxp file is a Photoshop CC extension and only loads into that application. It will not load into CS6 or Lightroom.
You can download the Extension Manager from here.
Lightroom plugins (not extensions) have a .lrplugin file extension and may come packed inside a zip file.
In Lightroom you can click File > Plug-in Manager to install.
Thanks... then I have the wrong file type. Time to ask for my money back!
