Thanks, Reid. What's a good way to get started with the Flex SDK?
First, download and install the Flex SDK; you've done this already. Depending on your budget, it might be useful to buy Flex 2 Builder. I'm pretty sure it includes a graphical GUI constructor, which saves a lot of time over building GUIs in XML.
I would then peruse the docs, http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flex/ , which are pretty good. I refer to Programming ActionScript 3.0 and the Flex 2 Language Reference daily.
There is also this forum and three mailing lists, flexcoders, flexcomponents, and flashcoders. I don't remember the URLs offhand but Google will know.
Finally, there are three IRC channels, though I haven't yet determined their usefulness: #flex, #flash, and #actionscript, all on efnet.
