1) Create a text frame with Black Text and use White as the text frame background color (you could also do the inverse: White text / Black background)
2) you can create a text frame that has a distinctly contrasting color against your scientific drawing
if ID supports it
3) you can use a blend mode to make the text automatically a different color depending on what it is on top of.
You're welcome. One thing I would suggest for scientific labels is to make sure you use a font with serif such as Times New Roman but perhaps in the same family with a little more flair suited to your document as opposed to a sans-serif font such as Helvetica. This is to avoid confusion between such letters as a lowercase London and a capital I.
