I accidentally uninstalled my CS6, and when I tried to reinstall it from my backup I got the configuration error: 1...I can't get it to install, I have the license #

I tried to install from adobe's download page and got an error. Any suggestions?

I don't think you can install by dragging from a backup, you must actually install using the Adobe installer

Sign out of your account... Uninstall... run the Cleaner...

-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html (and uninstall)

-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling is needed

-https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

-Restart your computer... place the original disc in your drive and install

To uninstall in Windows requires several steps... so just exactly how did you do the uninstall?

What error message when you tried to download and install?

‌I am using a Mac and i used the Adobe uninstaller to uninstall it. Then when I tried re installing from my backup( I dragged programs to my desktop I got this message:

Configuration error

Please uninstall and reinstall the product.

If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and

mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
