Update grayed out on help menu

I wanted to update a new install of Captivate 8.  It is currently at 8.0.0.145 when I tried to update it the Update option in the help menu is grayed out.

Looks like your IT support has suppressed the update.

  1. Close Captivate.
  2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0.
  3. Open the AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat in any text editor.
  4. Change the Suppressed tag value to 0 from 1 and save it.
  5. Launch Captivate. The Update option will be enabled.
