InDesign gets a lot of changes in Paragraph Styles between CC14 and 15. Paragraph Shading.
Other changes are done with tables.
But why are your people on CC 2014? They can upgrade without additional cost.
If they have the latest update to CC2014 and if they are connected to the internet, they can open CC 2015 without IDML.
I understand my people can upgrade - that's not the point. A huge IT infrastructure then needs to update to over OSX 10.9 to be able to install CC2015.
I just wanted to know WHY it was necessary to have to update AGAIN - the whole point of CC is NO MORE UPDATES, and here we are battling file versions again.
Paragraph styling and shading shouldn't necessitate an IDML, it's getting a bit ridiculous
I get the frustration and I think it’s more a matter of lousy marketing than anything else, but there are some features that can get plugged in without a change in file format and some that can’t.
It's not really "no more updates," it's "no more new costs for updates."
