    Powerpoint-style bullets on mac/pc

    Bentmen
      Hi All:

      Anyone have insights as to how to mimic powerpoint-style bullet behavior in Director? In other words, it's not just a matter of numtoChar, it's also the indents, etc... just like ppt, basically!

      I already know about this:
      --
      if the platform contains "win" then
      bullet = numtoChar(149)
      else bullet = numtoChar(165)
      --

      This is for an cross-platform program, so we have to deal with font issues on both Mac and PC. There's also things like keeping just the bullet in wingdings (or whatever) if they backspace up to it, so they don't start typing with wingdings font accidentally...

      Thanks!

          You can set the leftIndent property of a member or a chunk of lines in a
          member. Check the docs for syntax, but I think it's something like this to
          set lines 3-6 (inclusive).

          member("textMember").line[3..6].leftIndent = 18
