Greyed images when you import means that you have previously imported these photos into Lightroom. There is no need to import them again. Just go to the Library Module (not the Import Dialog box), find these photos, and perform whatever tasks you want on them.
I see what you're saying, but I'm talking about folders and specifically images, that I've nerve imported before. So LR is acting like I have previously imported them, when in reality I haven't. That's the problem. Thanks!
And until we figure out why Lightroom thinks that, we will not make progress.
In my mind, there are two possibilities here
- You did import the files previously, despite your statement that you haven't. It would really help if you checked to see if this has happened, instead of just making a statement. You want to go to the Library Module, click on All PHotographs, turn off filters, and expand all stacks and then search for one of these photos by file name.
- Some people think there is a bug wherein files with the same file name (but different capture time) are incorrectly regarded by Lightroom as duplicates.
