Dehaze saturates too much. Should it be part of local adjustments?

I just spent a week on the beach on Mexico and the whole time it was quite foggy so most pictures have some haze especially in the sky and further away. I have been able to recover a lot of detail in the sky with the dehaze slider but it also made the foreground way too saturated.

I think the best would be if the dehaze solder was part of the local adjustments tools like brushes and radial/graduated filters.

What does everybody else think? Is the dehaze slider, as is it, useful? Are there alternatives that avoid oversaturation?
