Just place your mouse at the top of the timeline and run the wheel. I find it much faster.
There are a lot of new features but you'll have to read about it to discover them.
While this is a good solution for someone who uses a mouse, it still doesn't work for a Wacom tablet. Mouses (mice?) don't go well with my hand issues, and I back and forth between AE, Premiere and Illustrator enough that a tablet is the way to go.
Really hoping Adobe adds the little scroll bars back into the mix.
I'm a plus one for this. The little menu thingy is a backwards step for me and I also use a Wacom. It's a lot slower than the older method when needing to move to a comp that is just off screen. That scroll bar took up so little room I don't know why anyone even thought to replace it.
