Tuedsay, the 7-th of July at 11:00 UTC, we'll  update the new version of Business Catalyst service to fix some shopping cart update issues and roll out a few system features. Please find below the detailed list of changes included in the update:

Bugfixes:

  • 3304597, 2886700 after clicking the browserā€™s ā€œBackā€ button while on the shopping cart, {module_shoppingcartsummary} will show "Shopping cart is empty"
  • 3977750 in some cases {module_shoppingcartsummary} is not updated after adding a product to the cart
  • 3969928, 3698208 the shopping cart cookie lifetime value was sometimes incorrectly set. This caused the shopping cart to be refreshed after closing and re-opening the browser.
  • 3997908 we have upgraded the USPS integration for Canada. Now we are using IntlRateV2 the upgraded USPS integration has been postponed for the next release. Once the integration is upgraded all the products that will be processed by USPS will have to have the product dimensions filled in. Once the new integration goes live USPS will not process any orders containing products with blank product dimensions.
  • 3990471 the Redactor editor looks slightly different that the legacy WYSIWYG editor - fixed this inconsistency
  • 4002096 fixed a permission related inconsistency regarding front-end webapp actions
  • 4002218 sometimes webapp items are incorrectly plotted on a map. Two webapp items that have the same Country, State ans Zipcode but a different pair of latitude\longitude values and different City were rendered incorrectly prior to the bug being fixed. This particular scenario occurred for cities which share the same ZIP code.

Features:

  • named parameter modules will now work in e-mail campaigns. Until now only legacy module syntax could have been used, for example {module_webapps,56,a,,,_blank,true,12,true,3}.. Starting with this release the new named parameter syntax will also render - {module_webapps id="56" filter="all" targetFrame="_blank" useBackupTemplate="true" resultsPerPage="12" hideEmptyMessage="true" rowCount="3"}. Have a look at this article for more details about named parameters - Modules and named parameters
  • Redactor editor can now specify the target = "_blank" value for an anchor:

Hi Mihai,

Could you please expand on this one:

  • 4002218 sometimes webapp items are incorrectly plotted on a map

What does this cover?
Have the engineers got a better Latitude Longitude data set in place? Will pins plot correctly now? Do they still require state?

We were hoping that campaigns would be fixed in this release, lots of users of the BC system who have liquid enabled sites can not use edit their campaigns at the moment. We were hoping for some bigger releases now as we been waiting a while for a lot of the liquid issues, bugs etc would start getting fixed now. Everything BC seems to have ground to a halt

Hi Liam,

On the campaigns bug, which randomly does not take into account the value of the "Use new campaign editor" flag in Partner Portal > Online editor settings will be fixed in the next release.

Also to add to the release notes is the fact that modules that do use liquid will now render in email campaigns. So, with this release, if you have a blog or product template that uses liquid you will be able to include it in email campaigns and will render correctly.
