Use a left indent, like 10 mm for the enitere paragraph, then set the First line indent to -10 mm. (Or 15/-15 etc., depending on how much you need. Type in a Tab between the number and the text in the first line.
If you are using auto-numbering lists, then the typing of a tab is not needed, but also there take a look at left indent and first line indent settings.
Fantastic! Thank you!
With a minor augmentation to the "Number" format under "Numbering Style" within "Bullets and Numbering" under "Paragraph Style Options," I was able to achieve the desired result.
For anyone else that runs into this problem, adding a "^t" to the end of your format (i.e. ^1.^2.^#^t) adds a tab after the number that should put all of your text in alignment. I ended up going with the 15mm or .6 in indent and that worked for my own. You can set yours however you need with this tip to work for your list.
