A large 65Mb project keeps crashing the display in our Win 7 64 bit system with Radeon HD 5670 card. Any tips besides a new computer?

          What version of Premiere Elements?

What is the duration of this file with a 65 MB file size?

What are the properties of this file with a 65 MB file size...

          Video Compression

          Audio Compression

          Frame Size

          Frame Rate

          Interlaced or Progressive

          File Extension

          Pixel Aspect Ratio

A quick way to get at these properties are for you to tell us the brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video.

What is the size/duration when you add this 65 MB file and crash?

The rest of the questions will fall into place once we have that basic information. Depending on what it is...

          a. does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewalls disabled?

          b. is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?

          c. do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer along with Premiere Elements, and are you running the programs as administrator.

Please review, consider, and supply more detail so that we can customize a troubleshooting plan for you.

          Thank you.
