V3 API authentication from outside of admin

Hey guys,

I just want to ask if this is something that's still on the cards? Like a permanent app token available from admin, which we can use to authenticate from outside admin?

We have several clients who really need this now that V3 is out and has a lot of things the old APIs don't.

It is supposed to me mate through Oauth.
With how light the latest release is and the mounting issues needing to be addressed with the API and Liquid etc.. I have really starting to doubt you would see this in 2015, even core updates I think are slipping away from 2015.
