Is there an effects in Premiere Elements 10 that would make the frame spin around in a circle?

          Basic idea...

Create Track Matte circle in Titler....that goes on Video 3

          Movie clip on Video 2

For video on Video Track 2, apply Track Matte Key effect and also keyframe its Rotation property in Properties Palette/Motion Panel expanded's Rotation feature.

Please more details if more details needed....is video rotating in a fixed position circle or is a circle moving around the frame with the movie rotating it in?

            Hey ATR,

I was planning to attempt this today. Should anything be in video track 1?

If you want a background for the circle which will be displaying your rotating video in the circle, then you could have the background on Video 1.

Otherwise, you can put those two track contents (track matte above rotating video to go in circle) on whatever tracks you want).

Please let me know if you are OK with those details.

Thanks for exploring the suggestion. You might want to consider the information on Rotation in the following

Okay that makes sense.  Moving the clip up to video 2 allows room for a background in video 1.   Thanks!

ATR,  can you provide more details on how to create track matte circle in the titler?  Do I actually draw the circle tool in the frame? That creates a white circle that blocks what is behind it in track 2.

                    adobenewbie123

Given track matte from Titler on Video Track 3

Given rotating video on Video Track 2

That video on Video Track 2, besides the Rotation keyframing, is going to have the Track Matte Key dragged into it. Effects/Keying/Track Matte.  Next, Edit Effects. In Properties Palette/Track Matte expanded panel - establish the Track Matte settings starting with Matte = Video 3 where the Track Matte is (in your case here Video Track 3) to get video on Video Track 2 showing in the Track Matte's circle instead of white.

If want, afterward you can select the Track Matte on Video 3 and reposition it.

Please let me know if you need supplemental information on the above.

                    Thanks.
