How to overcome error importing mp4 video in LR6?

    E33WW2DTDN Level 1

The error is "The video file appears to be corrupted or unrecognizable.  It has no audio or video streams."

Actually, there are both audio and video streams - - the video plays perfectly in Windows Media Player.
