This is a known issue that will be resolved in an update coming later this month.
In the meantime, there is a workaround by copying those presets to one of the other locations which Color Finesse searches:
- Create a new folder called "Color Finesse Presets" in "/Library/Applications Support/Synthetic Aperture". You may need to also create the "Synthetic Aperture" folder. (Note that this is the Library folder at the root of your boot drive, not the one in your user home folder.)
- Copy the contents of the folder "/Applications/Adobe After Effects CC 2015/Plug-ins/Effects/Synthetic Aperture/(CF3 Support)/Presets" to that new folder.
- Restart After Effects and try Color Finesse. It should load the presets correctly now.
Sorry for the bug and wasted time.
thanks for replying to me on this. I did try this (had to create the synthetic Aperture folder in application support). However it doesnt seem to have fixed it. I tried it by copying only the contents of the presets folder. Then again by copying all the contents of the (/Applications/Adobe After Effects CC 2015/Plug-ins/Effects/Synthetic Aperture/(CF3 Support)) folder. Do you know when the update to address this will be coming?
my mistake, it does load the presets. but now it appears in (user) folder rather than (system). thanks so much for your help
