Hi, when I first installed lightroom, I could directly open pictures in a folder with right click on the picture and chosing the option "open with". Lightroom was a suggested programm in the list. After updating lightroom, the programm didn't figure any more in the list. I could manually choose the path and the exe file but it still wouldn't work.
I found somewhere on the internet a solution where one had to change certain paths in the registry for lightroom and delete other values. It worked afterwards (apparently the values in the registry do not get updated when updating the program). When I switched to lightroom 6 the same thing happened (can't directly open pictures anymore). Unfortunately I did not copy the page with the solution and I cannot find it anymore. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
I have read of other people who have used the "Open with" feature to open images in Lightroom. I have never tried it. Lightroom is designed for you to use the import dialog to import your images. Some people have mentioned dragging/dropping images into the Lightroom workspace. That's another feature that I have not tried.
As I only use lighroom to edit pictures and not to manage them, the whole process seems to complicated. Open with at least opens lightroom and the right folder to import the pictures needed.
