Did you buy on disc so there were two (Windows and Mac) install discs in the box, or did you buy a single version via download?
Please explain if you are referring to your Adobe ID and Password or to the serial number of some version of Premiere Elements.
You cannot install Premiere Elements Windows on a Mac computer. And you cannot install Premiere Elements Mac on a Windows computer.
Adobe allows you to have an purchased activated serial number on no more than 2 of your computer. And, even then you are not supposed to be using them at the same time.
And, any projects created in Premiere Elements Windows cannot be opened and used in Premiere Elements Mac.
Please review and consider the above and then let me know which apply to your situation. Details please.
thanks for the reply...yes I did buy the two versions....but since I did not de-activate it on WIN I guess it´s not working on Mac either?
I installed the mac Version....bought it with MAC and WIN Discs. So since I did not deacitvate on WIN I guess it´s not working on Mac?
So since I did not deactivate on WIN I guess it´s not working on Mac?
That is not necessarily true. Please read on.
From my experience, you should have the same serial number for the Windows installation disc and the Mac installation disc.
Since Adobe allows for the same purchased activated serial number on no more of your computers and installing on Mac is "2" in the count, then you should be able to install Premiere Elements Mac on the Mac computer using your Mac installation disc.
If you are running into the too many syndrome, then you should be getting a specific message telling you that. Are you?
If there is a possibility that there is a problem with the Mac installation disc, you could download installation files and insert your purchased serial number into them during the installation.
Please review the details of your situation and give more details to make sure that we are in sync on the details for the troubleshooting.
Thanks.....I tried already to re-install....but the mentioned ID there is a message telling me too many installations. But there is none....I did not give away my disc....thats weird
Thanks for the follow up.
This sounds like a situation that Adobe Chat Activation should be able to handle. It is the only one who can handle serial number and activation matters. Please contact it using the following link and describe your situation.
If the message is claiming too many installs, then it is insisting that you deactivate one of the purchased activated serial numbers which would be the Windows install from your description of the history on this. Did you ever say what version of Premiere Elements is involved. For Premiere Elements

for the Deactivation within an opened project. Deactivation is not the same as uninstall. Just some just in case thoughts.
Please double check to determine if you could have installed the program to another computer as a test run and then forgot about it.
Please let us know the outcome from the Adobe Chat Activation.
