Here's a strange one: my Paste function no longer works consistently in CC2015. (In fact, it fails in the same way now in CC2014, though it didn't before I installed 2015.) If I copy or cut some text and then go to paste it back in, I get nothing, and Paste on the Edit menu is grayed out. I don't see how it could be the keyboard since I get the same behavior using the menus, and Paste works in all my other applications.
This morning I have uninstalled IDCC, CC2014, and 2015, and reinstalled 2015. I have deleted my preferences more than once and restarted; I am running out of ideas.
Anyone seen anything like this or have any suggestions?
I am having the same or similar issue.
I recently upgraded my system from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. The new system is an I7 base system, 12GB memory, Win 10 Professional (X64) (build 10586).
I loaded InDesign CC 2015 Version 11.2 (64bit) onto the new system.
Many of the functions on the Edit menu - Copy, Cut, Paste(s) as well as a number of object functions - group, ungroup, object layer options, etc. are all grayed. Keyboard shortcuts for the above do NOT work.
I have checked the subscription is up to date and the application properly registered. I also located and deleted the "InDesign Defaults" file as suggested in an earlier post. This has not fixed the problem.
So basically I have an inoperative application.
First thing to try is trashing your preferences. If that doesn't work, uninstall, run the CC Cleaner tool, and reinstall.
