I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure somebody has put something like that up on VideoHive.
If not, do you have a way to get footage of a beach at the appropriate angle? If so, I have some suggestions that would help you do your effect.
We did shoot some broll of the surf the day of the shoot, but I have not had a chance to look at it yet. We still have one more day of shooting at the beach so I can get something else if I need to. I was actually planning on playing with some layering in Premiere to try and build something that would work, but need it to look clean and professional. I am definitely open to suggestions to try and create something on my own.
If I were doing this, I'd set up a tripod shot right at the edge where the water comes into the sand. That way you have a wave coming in and then going out rather quickly. Then you could either use the water as a track matte for your text precomp or just do some rough rotoscoping to follow the wave's motion (depending on how foamy the water is and how dark the sand is).
If I were doing this and I had the people in place to pull it off. I'd actually write stuff in the sand that you'd want with one crew while the other crew got the shot of the water. That way you have the same lighting on the sand and you have what you need actually written in sand to composite into the shot. You could do this with one crew as long as it was done quickly enough that the sun's position didn't change too much.
Personally I would shoot some footage of the waves crashing into the shore in such a way that I could create a procedural matte. I would look for contrast and try something like modifying levels for other techniques to create the matte. Combine a procedural matte with Rotobrush and you should have it.
The only other option I can think of would be to use a fluid simulation the make your own waves.
I have never seen any stock footage of waves with him at already created.
I did find a couple possibilities on VideoHive. I still plan to play with it myself a little next week, I will report back.
