First, would you make sure that you are still signed into Adobe Document Cloud? (You may have been signed out due to inactivity.)
You can also check if your documents are still intact in Adobe Document Cloud via the web browser interface.
- Open a web browser.
- Go to https://cloud.acrobat.com/
- Sign in with your Adobe ID.
- Go to the Document Cloud section.
Would you also tell us which app you are using? Is it the desktop app on a Windows/Mac computer or the mobile app on an iPad/iPhone or Android tablet/phone?
I am using the mobile app for my iPad mini. I went into cloud.acrobat.com and went into the Document Cloud section. There still remains just one document. All the rest are gone. I do know that there was an upgrade for Acrobat about 2-3 weeks ago. I do keep my apps updated. I'm not sure if this would have any effect on my documents. The one remaining document had been in my document files for about 5-6 mos. and it makes no sense why this one file remains in the document cloud. My biggest problem is that, conservatively, I have lost well over $1,000 in knitting patterns. Many of which, I have no record of when or from whom I purchased them. I thought the Adobe Acrobat Cloud would be the safest place for these documents because I have to way to 'back up' files on my iPad mini. I do hope you can find my documents.
Do you have multiple Adobe IDs that you use to sign into Adobe Document Cloud from the Acrobat Reader app on your iPad mini?
No. Just one Adobe ID.
Unfortunately, I cannot inspect your iPad mini in person. So I have to ask you more questions.
Have you checked all of the file locations? Recent, Local, Document Cloud, Creative Cloud, and Outbox?
Which file location that your documents used to appear?
How did you transfer all of your documents to your iPad in the first place (before uploading them to Document Cloud)? Did you get the documents as email attachments in Mail, download from web sites via Safari, or some other iOS app?
CReative Cloud and Outbox have disappeared as an option. The documents have historically, all been in the Document Cloud Or the Outbox. The patterns were all purchased and then downloaded via email or directly from a website.
In the Acrobat Reader app on your iPad mini, when you select Document Cloud for the file location, are you saying that you only see one document in the file browser? What is the date of the document?
Or do you see a page like this? If you see it, it means that you are not signed in.
Once you confirm that you only see one document in the Document Cloud, I can check with the Adobe Document Cloud PDF services team to find out the history of file activities in your account.
Thank you for your patience.
hi Jeopardygirl-did anyone ever help you? @MobileDevCK seemed like a smart man willing to help-he actually offered to inquire abt history of file activities in ur account
---whereas chat tech (TECH!) support idiotically referred me to my Doc Cloud pg (durf I know how to access, it's how I discovered I had missing files or he said if files existed, they should n in Cloud pg double durf)
Please let us know what you've tried so far. Are yo trying to access your files vial the Reader mobile app, or via a web browser on Windows or Mac OS? Do you have multiple Adobe IDs? Have you tried logging out, and then signing back in?
Thankfully, Adobe staff helped me and it turns out the issue was "Clear Recent" button (mobile option only-clears, does not delete) vs "Delete Recent" button (desktop/laptop only-actually does delete)-so likely, I was used to "Clearing" but being happily assured that my files are still there, yet when I used Adobe on my laptop, I clicked "Delete" assuming it would be the same as Clear and my files were deleted at that time permanently. I just wasn't aware of it-I don't remember this until weeks later when I logged back into the Cloud. However, I think I found a backup copy on my laptop of my most imp files missing.
Thanks to MobileDevCK and all the ppl who helped me on Adobe staff!
