I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard and the InDesign application has never worked. The install goes well, but upon clicking on the app, the receive an error message of "You can't open the application Adobe InDesign CS5.5 because it may be damaged or incomplete. I'd tried uninstalling & re-installing the program from the Adobe web site, but the application icon displays a "No" or Not" symbol (circle with a line drawn diagonally."
The Macbook uses OS 10.6.8 and has 4 GB of memory.
I'm downloading the software from Download CS5.5 products and I'm selecting CS5.5 Design Standard.
I know it's an older product, but I'm hoping to still install and useIn Design CS5.5
The icon shows up as incompatibe or damaged. You should uninstall it, run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (which works also with CS3 and higher), clean everything, repair your permissions and install it again.
