I have an InDesign doc that was given to me that is 120 pages long. Within it are a number of instances where a particular PMS color was used in various places. I know that I can convert it all to cmyk in the final pdf, however, I'd like to clean up this doc and make it fully cmyk for future use. Any suggestions?
Create a preflight profile that flags spot colors.
If the colour isn't used in any imported graphics, just double click the swatch and change the Color Type to Process.
If it is used in imported graphics, you can either open each of those and change it to process, then do the about, or you can go to the flyout menu of the Swatches pallet, open the Ink Manager and select All Spots to Process.
