I probably solved my problem.
I switch off GPU support in LR. It is working since that.
I have AMD Radeon R7 200 Series, I have newest drivers also from AMD. I used it for long time with switching it on.
Problem was that I was not able to switch it off because it stop working when I clicked to that checkbox in preferences :-(
But in the end I somehow succeeded with switching it off and now it is working.
I hope it will help somebody.
I suspect I too am having a problem with the GPU support. I updated drivers for my AMD Radeon HD 5670 about a week ago and have been having Lightroom Not Responding issues ever since. But, as mentioned by jiříp73927806, I am unable to uncheck GPU Support in the Lightroom Preferences. It seems the program hangs before I can get to the Lightroom Preferences screen.
I have next tip for you. If you are familiar with changing text files in your computer you can do it manually without running LR.
Here is a link with description:
I would recommend make a copy of preferences file before you start change it.
I hope you will succeed.
I was eventually able to turn GPU off using the Lightroom Preferences panel. Lightroom seems to be running well now so that supports the remedy that turning off GPU resolves the "Not Responding" issue.
Okay I to am having the same problem. I can't get into it manually to turn it off nor can i turn it off as it keeps "not-responding" as soon as I try to check the box off. UGH!!! Any other help!?
Go to the web forum and scroll up a couple replies to the one that has a link with instructions on how to modify the LR Prefs file manually with a text editor. The one thing I'd change about what the article says is that my prefs file had UseAutoBahn=true and I changed that to UseAutoBahn=false. It didn't have the <true/> or <false/> like the article shows.
