I have never had issues with this in the past, but now, anytime I attempt to add an MP3 music file onto my project, I get this error message, and it crashes:
I updated my Adobe software, uninstalled and reinstalled the program, updated my computer, completed my adobe profile, anything I could think of. Is there something I'm missing? Please help, this is extremely frustrating. Thanks for your time.
What is the source of this music - iTunes or other?
If iTunes, have you converted it to the WAV version in iTunes and then imported it into the project without issue?
Do you have the same problem if you use AudioTab/Music Score soundtrack(s)?
From what you wrote, you are working with Premiere Elements 12/12.1 updated version on Windows 7 (assumed 64 bit).
Please explore the following possible solution if you have not already
1. Delete the whole 12.0 Folder in the following path...
Local Disk C
