CMYK colours dulled in exported PDF despite profiles being the same

      Hi there,

I am hoping someone can help me. I have created artwork in Photoshop using the same CMYK profiles as what I'm using in Indesign, and yet I still end up with a dull PDF when exported. I can't work out why I'm getting a colour difference when the profiles are exactly the same?

These are the settings I have used in Photoshop:

      Designed in CMYK mode:

Setting: North America General Purpose 2

CMYK: US Web Coated (SWOP) v2

      > Saved artwork as a flattened TIFF (I have tried both with 'Embed colour profile' ticked and unticked)

These are the settings I have used in Indesign:

Setting: North America General Purpose 2

CMYK: US Web Coated (SWOP) v2

Colour Management: CMYK: Preserve Numbers (Ignore linked profiles)

Profile Mismatches: Ask When opening ticked (no mismatches were bought to my attention when placing my CMYK image, or when opening the document again once saved with my CMYK image)

These are the settings I have used when exporting as a PDF (I didn't change any of the default settings):

      Press Quality

      Convert to destination (preserve numbers)

Destination: Document CMYK: US Web Coated (SWOP) v2

Profile inclusion policy: Don't include profiles

To me, all of my colour settings look the same, and yet I still get a dull PDF as the result. Is there something I'm missing? I've attached an example here.

      Please help!

      Thanks,

      Jillian
