Problems creating single card, titles in 13

    martys40

I'm having two issues with creating single card titles in A P E 13.

      1. My 1st title card shows up in every title card and the text can't be deleted or changed.

      2. After trying to get the text in the title card changed, using every possible thing I can think of, my mac locks up.

          What is A P E 13?

Adobe Premiere Elements 13 or Adobe Photoshop Elements 13?

If it is Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, you have posted in the wrong forum. Some how your thread got posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing). In that case, please post your thread in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum with lots of details of your issue.

          Photoshop Elements

If this is really a Premiere Elements question about creating titles for your video project, we can talk about the need to duplicate titles in Project Assets to avoid getting the same text in all the titles under certain circumstances.

Wherever your thread exists, please give details.

          Thank you.

Thanks for the reply with additional details for your question.

Best worked on in Premiere Elements 13/13.1 Mac's Expert workspace where you can see better what is happening and thus have more control over the workflow.

You can always create a single title in the program's Titler. The title is automatically placed on the Timeline in the process at the position of the Timeline Indicator, a copy placed in Project Assets.

              Close the Titler.

If you want to create multiple titles from that one title on the Timeline and you do that by making copies of the first, you are going to end up with the same text in each of the multiple titles that you set out to create.

              Instead...

              1. Titler is closed.

              2. You open Project Assets and right click the title's thumbnail there and select Duplicate from the menu that appears.

              3. It is that Duplicate that you drag from Project Assets to the Timeline, double click it on the Timeline to open the Titler, and start creating your new title.

You may have seen the following, but just in case

Adobe Premiere Elements Help | Creating and trimming titles

You should be able to delete in the Titler and the Timeline title when the Titler is closed. Make sure that you select the text that you want to delete before deleting. In the opened Titler, use the Selection Tool for selecting what you are about to delete.

Please review, consider, and then let us know if you are now Ok with your Premiere Elements 13/13.1 Mac title creations in the project's Titler.

              Thanks.
