thats not my Problem at all. i know what to do when Export Fails and indesign reports a failure. My Problem is that nothing happens...
and it only stucks when im exporting some files at once.
I understand your problem - and the link I pointed to will help you narrow down the issue.
What's happening is that you're trying to cancel a PDF export and it's not canceling. So there is something preventing the canceling of the export.
IDML would remove any potential corruption and might fix your issue.
Halving the PDF export and trying to cancel could narrow the problem down - for instance Page 1-10 File>Export and try to Cancel, if it cancels it's not in page 1-10, try 11-20 and so on until you find the problem page(s) that's stopping it from canceling.
And applying the same logic to problem files is recommended for the other tips in that thread.
Hope that helps.
I've tried that, but don't work. Background Task stucks while exporting some large files at once. Max. one large and a smaller file at once works...
Sounds like either insufficient memory or swap file space.
I think there is a plugin/script you can download which allows you to Enable or Disable Background Export. This might solve your problem?
It has helped me at work where I am exporting huge documents with many links that will often crash InDesign while trying to save a PDF.
The script is here: How to Disable Adobe InDesign Background Tasks
Did you use EPS? Try to use AI or PDF instead. Recently one of the main reasons of failures were EPS. (EPS should not be used anyway because of several good reasons!)
Could just export to PDF and use PDF interactive.
Or place the file into a new book file and export from the book panel.
OPens the book panel
Add your document
Then use the panels menu to export to pdf.
