I have created several collections in Adobe Lightroom on my desktop computer with the aim of showing people some selected images on various subjects and themes on my mobile devices. I am adding images to the collections as I find them in no particular order and then sorting them into my desired order and groupings.
Many of the images on my computer are not in date order because they are scans of film originals or digital photographs of old prints. It would be difficult to assign an 'original' date to the digital image because many of the images are hard to date, it's much easier to drag the images into my preferred order.
On my mobile devices (iPhone and iPad) the images are displaying in the order added to the collection not my custom sort order. How can I ensure the display order on my mobile devices is the same as the desktop computer please?
Have you tried to change the Lr Mobile sort options to "Custom Order"? - Guido
Thanks for your reply.
I don't know how to do that?
I have checked the prefs on my iPad and can find no way of making any sort order settings.
I don't have access to my desktop to check the prefs settings there today.
OK Greule, After further prodding and poking with my iPad i have discovered how to access the display settings.
My brain isn't wired for hidden menu driven software... By clicking the tiny down arrow under the title of the collection on the iPad I found the menu for display options. I hadn't even seen the arrow.
Thank you for your help, it prompted me to look for obscure hidden menus.
