If you have prerecorded video that you want to track, you can use the Face Tracker in After Effects, which allows you to copy 2D point data (from the Face Track Points effect it applies) for a subset of the face points you see in Character's Camera & Microphone panel. Thanks that's certainly usefull although it's certainly not as detailed in terms of the no of tracking points available in Character Animator. For example there's no way to track blink data and the mouth area is much less detailed.
Hopefully future updates will either bring tracking point export ability to CA or increased facial tracking points into AE
There might be a way to access the additional points via scripting. I have a to-do item to investigate that option, but nothing available right now.
