If you look here Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows, you can see what the time between releases looks like. One to four months. There may even be a Preview release.
Since I'm not Adobe Staff I'm not privy to that, and they are usually under Non-Disclosure Agreements.
The best thing to do is to use the jpeg format until then.
Thanks Gene - guess we just have to hope and wait. In the mean time possible good shots will be excluded from the benefits of lossless re-re-re editing and low file-size storage.... too bad ... maybe a lack of cooperation between Sony and Adobe ...? ...
So do I - I convert everything into DNG when importing (Bridge Downloader) - unfortunately that is also not possible with the Sony ARW / RX100 M4 files while they are not recognized in the first place ...
Support for this camera is in ACR 9.1.1, released today (7/29).
Thank you Jeffrey - good news - already working..beautiful!!
May I ask another question:
I used to convert all RAW files (NEF from my Nikons) into DNG ... never had a problem
Now I read somewhere that DNG looses / misses certain information / quality compared to ARW (Sony) after being converted
Is there any thruth to that or should I just keep what I was doing - convert to DNG?
Thanks you in advance
