To print from Actionscript, I make a new PrintJob(), then call printJob.start(), which causes the browser to present a print dialog to the user. If the user clicks "Print" then I can go ahead to set parameters and call printJob.addPage for each page to be printed.
In Edge browser, the print dialog has the Print button disabled and this message beneath the initially selected printer:
We couldn't reach this printer. Make sure
the printer is on and you are connected to
the printer's network, or try a different
printer.
Icky workaround: changing the selected printer dismisses that message and re-enables the Print button. You can then change back to initial printer and print.
Also, the print dialog tries to, and cannot show a "preview" page view. Perhaps that causes the warning shown?
Have something to add?
