Hi, Is there a way to change the folder names that export out of indesign when packaging?
For example, can I change the folder "Document fonts" to export as "document-fonts" ?
I ask because our naming structure requires no capital letters and no spaces. Spaces are replaced with dashes ( - ).
And it would be nice if it always exported as needed, instead of having to go back in and change the folder names.
Thanks! Much appreciated!
That can't be changed without have a bad effect. The name "Document fonts" is special. When you package a file with fonts within a folder using exactly that name, InDesign will know that those fonts should be opened up and will be used in the document on the other end. If you named that folder anything else, InDesign would ignore the fonts and the recipient would have to open the fonts manually.
If you decided to change the folder names, you would have to do it after the package is created, perhaps with a script.
