Only Premiere Elements 10 requires an "old" driver with NVidia cards

I have not heard of versions after 10 having problems with NVidia driver versions
To date the Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce syndrome has been specific for Premiere Elements 10 running on a computer that uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card. Have you looked at Intel HD Graphics or ATI video card/graphics card for the computer in use with Premiere Elements 10. I have Premiere Elements 10 on two computers with Intel HD Graphics and have no problems with Premiere Elements 10.
I have not seen any evidence that NVIDIA nor Adobe has done anything to change this situation, no likely to do this since the 10 older product is involved.
Have you read the details of the Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce?
Please let us know if any questions or clarification on the above.
so.... will my nvidia card work well with PreEl13 with updated drivers? I can use 10 ok as long as i don't update the nvidia drivers.
you mention Intel graphics but that is internal on the mother board isn't it? do they make a graphics card?if not, what is a good ATI video card that will work with 10?
can you tell me if 13 works like 10 in regards to being able to undock the monitor and put it in another monitor? i didn't like the way that 11 could move the monitor to another monitor but it took the tools along with it so then i would have to keep going back and forth from tools to the time line. If that were fixed i would go to 13 and keep the nvidia card and be able to update the drivers....
thanks a bunch...
Thanks for the follow up.
Your NVIDIA GeForce card should work OK with Premiere Elements 13/13.1. But, I would look at the Premiere Elements 13/13.1 tryout from Adobe before purchase.
The monitor situation is going to be the same for 11, 12/12.1, and 13/13.1.
As for alternative (non NVIDIA GeForce) video card/graphics card.... I think that your best answer will come from
a. manufacturer of your computer
b. AMD....it is my understanding that ATI is a brand of AMD...and AMD may have bought out ATI and renamed.
Please see Support & Drivers at the AMD web page.
Please let us know of your progress as your time permits.
hmmm... thanks so much so far...
good idea about trying out the trial version of PreEl 13 but i don;t think that i'll like it...
so.... if that doesn't work for me i will get another graphics card and see how that goes. I will keep you posted as to how it all goes.
that figures John.... 10 is the one that i like best so far.... bought 11 and uninstalled it...
