The full list of Canon cameras supported is here:
Normally, Lightroom supports all Canon cameras within a few months of their release.
Thanks! so just to make sure I know for my 1200D it says Minimum Lightroom version required is 5.4 and the Minimum Camera Raw plug-in version required is 8.4 so does that mean that I'd need the Plug-in and the Lightroom 6 or would it all be covered in Lightroom 6?
If you have Lightroom 6, you don't need the (it's not a "plug-in") DNG Converter
If you have any Lightroom before Lightroom 5.4, then you'd need the DNG Converter
Thank you so much!!!!!!!
The plug-in is for when you’re trying to open the raw file in Photoshop. PS uses a Camera Raw plug-in.
Usually the camera support updates for LR and the CR plug-in are released simultaneously so if you have both LR and PS (via the CC Photography Plan or otherwise), you can work with the files in either one.
The Camera Raw plug-in has been around longer than Lightroom, so its versioning is 3 steps ahead of LR:
For example, LR 6.x = CR 9.x
