You can see them outside of Lightroom because other viewers show you the JPG preview embedded in the RAW file, while Lightroom shows you the RAW image itself. When this happens, the JPG preview is fine but the RAW image has been corrupted by a hardware malfunction.
You need to check each element of hardware that handles your photos to see if it is the possible cause of the corruption. Often it is the card reader, but it can also be the camera card, cable (if you don't use a card reader), USB port, hard disk or computer memory.
I actually have it on a external HHD and switched it to another drive and tried to re import it, still having the same issue. going to try other solutions, thanks for the suggestion.
If it was corrupted when it was copied from camera card to hard disk, and so the copy on the other hard disk will also be corrupted.
