I am trying to open pdf documents on both my iPhone 6+ or my MAC Computer. I have the latest IOS 8.4 software. I just got the Adobe app this morning and when I try to open the document, I keep getting the same message that I have to update to the newest version of Adobe. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
When you open the PDF document, do you see a message like this?
It sounds like you have a special type of form called a "dynamic XFA form".
Currently, Acrobat Reader mobile products (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support dynamic XFA forms that are authored with Adobe LiveCycle Designer.
The message is displayed when a dynamic content is not supported by a PDF viewer. As far as I know, no PDF viewers on iOS support dynamic XFA forms.
On your Mac desktop computer, do you happen to view the XFA form in a web browser? You can download and open it in Acrobat Reader DC (desktop app), which supports both dynamic and static XFA forms.
