In attempting to reinstall Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my IMac, after receiving a notice that it needs to be reinstalled, the program takes the serial number and starts the installation.  When it gets almost finished I get a caution sign and error message:  "The installation failed.  The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.  Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."

I appreciate your help but I am a little confused. This app was working great until I purchased a new iMac and changed everything over. The app originally opened on the new machine but I got a notice that it needed to be reinstalled. Now that I finally have it reinstalled after numerous tries all I get is the start of the dialogue box and it then disappears. The app will not completely open. I just did an uninstall and reinstall and am having the same problem. I have also deleted the Creative Cloud app.

Any other suggestions? I even went into my Time Machine and replaced with a copy of 11.0.11 that worked in June. I then updated to 11.0.12 and still have the same problem. Starts to open, see the dialogue box for a split second and then nothing. This is very frustrating. Any replacements for Acrobat, not really interested in purchasing a monthly plan.?
