Thanks , yes I checked this page but what is the alternative ? how we can do network render on multiple machines ?
if this feature is not available then we have to go back to previous version !
Well, you answered your own question - you use CC 2014.
ok thanks , let's use the old version and wait for the new promised architecture.
But once you install CC2015 from creative cloud tool then CC2014 is not available !
maybe I'm missing something here.
It's not that you're missing something. It's that Adobe is missing something.
They're missing a marketing department with the courage to say AE 2015 is an incomplete pre-release in an early alpha state.
The problem we are now trapped, you can't use it on the new version and you can't revert to old version unless I'm missing that this revert is possible
There's a convoluted, contrived and (largely) hidden way to reinstall AE 2014 using the 2015 installer.
Hopefully Shazam will be along shortly to copy/paste that procedure from his Adobe Apologist Answers file.
Until then, and in the spirit of shared suffering...
It's probably too late for you to read this, something that should have popped up before you were given the option to "upgrade" to 2015: http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2015/06/keeping-previous-versions-installed-when-insta lling-cc-2015-applications.html?scid=social47468046&adbid=915625065147494&adbpl=fb&adbpr=3 41657335877606
And since you've missed the above obscure blog post and falsely assumed that a newer version of After Effects would be a better version of After Effects (oh... wait... what?) then you'll have to do this:
Thanks for the links, I'm able to see the previous version from view all apps and click on the arrow to list previous versions before cliking on install.
Trying to install AE 2014, looks like it's doing that now .
Let's keep the old version till this network render is fixed.
Will be a lesson for the future, always look for blog posts before clicking on the magic UPDATE button
I believe Adobe's patent application for a button that says "Side Grade" was rejected. The judge is believed to have said the function of the intended button conflicted with a previously approved patent - a "Down Grade" button, granted to Apple upon the release of iOS 8.
Lol, I did use that button , maybe it should be now "Safe Grade"!
I confirm that I was able to go back to AE2014 and removed 2015. Now everything back to normal.
Will have to wait for the next update to enjoy the new 2015 feature.
