What computer operating system is involved?
Do these .wav files use ADPCM or PCM for the audio?
You may have to take them into Audacity of iTunes to get a .wav file that uses PCM instead of ADPCM.
Please refer to a current thread on .wav files that would not import into Premiere Elements.
Please describe the digital voice recorder that you used to record your .wav files.
Let us start here and then decide what next. Please give computer operating system so that I can post the necessary links for further details.
Add On....if you need a video audio readout program to determine ADPCM or PCM, you could look at MediaInfo, but be careful with your choices in the download and install to avoid any unwanted baggage that may come alone with the MediaInfo.
I am using Windows 7 Home operating system. The digital voice recorder which I used to record the wav files is Olympus VN-4100PC.
Sorry, I do not know if the wav files are ADPCM or PCM. I am not well versed in this terminology. I am a total beginner.

Then take the converted file into Premiere Elements 10 using Premiere Elements's Get Media/Files and Folders/
