I have a 48 page catalogue I've designed in Indesign. It does have a lot of pictures in it however previous times I've done this same job it hasn't taken this long to export to PDF.
Is it possible that CC 2015 is slower than previous versions?
Or is it more likely to be a problem with my computer, maybe I need more RAM?
Anyone else had similar problems lately?
It seems to be slower just since I upgraded to CC 2015.
What do you consider slow? 48 pages with many high resolution images could take a few minutes. Or are you talking longer amounts of time?
I haven't noticed anything slower about PDF export from the latest version of InDesign and I am exporting some exceptionally graphically-rich 200 page documents to PDF.
You don't give any indication of system configuration or OS, but 32-bit Windows and low memory systems could make a tremendous difference in PDF export speed.
It's taking an hour or two!
The indesign document is 140MB so it is quite big.
My computer is 34 bit with 8GB RAM, Windows 7 Professional.
It only used to take a few minutes to export to PDF files of this same size or larger even.
Any ideas of what the problem could be?
