Adobe Acrobat Team
Now it prompts me with some nonsense about sharing the file in a public folder, what is going on? I don't want to share my documents in any public folder, these are private documents that I'm uploading to my Dropbox. What's actually happening here? Is my file being uploaded to some folder that anyone can access?
The files that you viewed in Gmail initially are located in the app's private area, not accessible to other apps. While sharing such files, Adobe Acrobat makes a temporary copy of the file in the /Downloads/Adobe Acrobat/Temp/ folder after asking you to make a copy in a public folder. This 'public' folder can not be accessed by 'anyone' since this resides on your own device. Once the file has been shared, this file copy in the /Downloads/Adobe Acrobat/Temp/ is also deleted ensuring that no extra memory is consumed on the device. Please let us know if you still have some issues.
If that's the case, why even ask me me with a prompt if it's OK, it's just an extra step now that consumers so much time considering the number of times that I have to click OK, not to mention the time wasted waiting. Previously, I never had to double up on confirming, it was quick and simple, any chance that prompt can be disabled?
