Cannot upgrade to ACR 9.1.1. Can you assist?.

I have CS6 and do not have CC. I tried to download adobe raw 9.1.1, but error message said "update failed" It suggested I download the latest version of Adobe Application Manager, which I did. I tried again to upgrade to ACR 9.1.1 but again I got the update failed message. What can I do to resolve this?  thanks

If you are using Mac OS 10.6, Windows XP, or Windows Vista, Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 and later is not compatible. You can use up to Camera Raw 8.3. See Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 or later on Mac OS 10.6, Windows XP, and Vista.
