I have a user using cs3 on a very old machine and i am trying to deactivate the key so i can give her a newer pc. When i go to deactivate from the help menu there is no option, when i go to the help tab on the new computer i see the option to deactivate but it is greyed out since i have not put the old key in yet. I have the original box with key in the office, please help so i can get this poor girl a new/better pc. Thanks.
Contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset the activations for the serial number you have.

i've tried this but there is no 'deactivate' link under my 'HELP' menu item. And when i use the chat they say my license isn't valid - even though i bought it legally and have used it for 5 years and have installed and uninstalled on my old computer 3 times now in the past week - just seeing if it's still valid. I'm doing all this because i need to move it to my new computer - but it says 'invalid' license when i try ti activate it there.
