Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge is on my desktop.
I hope you can help me.
On Windows 10 Microsoft embeds Flash Player in IE and Edge browsers and the Flash Player files are locked to prevent users from accidentally deleting them. To delete the files requires a brute force deletion (e.g. modifying file permissions with some 3rd party software to unlock the files).
Due to Microsoft embedding Flash Player, the standalone installers will not run on Windows 10. You can try one of the following, but there is no guarantee that any of the options will work:
- uninstalling and then re-installing the most recent Microsoft update for Flash Player for Windows Update
- Refresh Windows 10s: Recovery options in Windows 10 - Windows Help See Reset Your PC > Keep my files
- Run sfc /scannow - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
- Use http://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image to fix issues.
If none of these work and you want to get Flash Player for IE/Edge back you'll most likely need to re-install Windows. Contacting Microsoft for assistance is also a recommended option.
