    Numbering Lists. Driving me nuts.

    Peter B. Bailey Level 1

I've got some endnotes at the end of a chapter, with 58 notes. I imported them from Word into my 2015 ID file. The incoming numbers weren't working for me, so, I deleted them and set the paragraph style up to do a numbered list. It does so, but, it numbers each note with the number "1." That's crazy. And, I have to literally go to each note and choose "continue numbering" for the numbers to increment. Why does it do this? I don't want to do this 58 times.

      Thanks.

Never mind. I found it. In the paragraph style, under numbered lists, it was set to "start at" number 1. I changed that to "continued from previous number" and now they're all numbered correctly. Pretty weird, that. Of course I want to start at number 1. So, why wouldn't it, by default, continue the numbering from there? Whatever. I'm fine now. Thanks.
